About Us

The Company

“One baby diapered in disposables produces 1 ton of landfill waste, with each diaper taking 500 years to biodegrade in a landfill.

Using a cloth diaper service was such a minimal effort compared to how greatly it reduced our ecological footprint. It was a lot of ecological bang for the buck.”

BabyAuric is a company which values families and their well-being, protecting the environment for future generations, customer service and simplicity.  BabyAuric was created by Samantha Cockburn and Antoine Goulet; we are a husband and wife team who are applying our business skills and experience to something close to our hearts: the well being of our child and the world we live in.

As well as operating a cloth diapering service, BabyAuric will offer quality baby products which are environmentally friendly and socially responsible.

The Cloth Diaper Service

Like most parents, we are absolutely besotted with our son Auric, and, like most first-time parents, we did a lot of research before he arrived in order to make the best decisions about his care.  One of those decisions was disposables vs reusables. There were arguments for and against the use of cloth, but after weighing all the arguments, it seemed an obvious choice to try a diaper service.

Although satisfied with our choice for our child and the environment, we had other requirements.  We both have high expectations when it comes to customer service, convenience, and the appropriate use of technology.

A cloth diaper service was a convenient option in principle, but the service part had to be top notch in order to fulfill our needs.

This is why we decided to start our service and ground it firmly in the basic principle that drives success for so many others: the customer comes first.”

Shortly after the newborn haze lifted, we realised that more people would choose to diaper their babies in cotton if they were shown how easy it could be.  We also realised that there were several ways to make the experience even simpler and more convenient.  We both hope this new venture will result in a healthy work-life balance, including lots of quality time with Auric, while at the same time benefiting other families, the community and the planet.
